The PRIDE of PWDA is Prince William Dance Academy’s performance and competition dance team. It’s mission is to provide performance opportunities and challenges that will develop and strengthen team members’ technical skills, artistry, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Our goal is to create well-rounded dancers that are able to compete in several dance disciplines: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Character and Musical Theatre.

PRIDE dancers must enroll in ballet, tap, jazz classes, and other genres are encouraged.

The acronym PRIDE reflects the following  characteristics expected of each team member.

   New Members Welcome

    We welcome both current PWDA dancers and new, interested dancers from the community.

 

     Auditions will include: demonstration of leaps, turns, jumps; learning a brief dance combination

       

• TEAM PLACEMENT WILL BE  DETERMINED AFTER AUDITION                          

     

    PRIDE DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN SUMMER

     DANCE CLASSES AND STUDIO DANCE INTENSIVES.
